Art Show & Silent Auction

Foundation for Help & Hope

Calls for Donated Artwork for Annual Art Show.

Labette Center for Mental Health Services has traditionally held an art show during May to honor Mental Health Awareness Month.  For May 2013, the Labette Center for Mental Health Services Foundation for Help & Hope will officially begin providing this event to the community.  This is an exciting change for the event, which will help the Center expand the ways in which Mental Health Awareness Month can be recognized.

In addition to the art show, this year the Center’s Foundation for Help and Hope has added a silent auction to the event.  Artists may donate artwork to the foundation to be auctioned.  Donated items will be displayed from May 16th, 2013 - May 28th, 2013 at the Hendershot Gallery, located in the administrative building of Labette Community College.   Silent auction bids will be reviewed and recipients will be contacted after the close of the art show and silent auction. Donations received through the silent action will go to the Foundation for Help and Hope.

“This is an exciting venture for the Center and the Foundation for Help & Hope” stated Executive Director Matthew Atteberry.  “It gives us the opportunity to showcase amazing artists in our community.  We are very pleased to be able to present this event to Labette County.”

Individuals who would like to donate artwork for the silent auction are asked to contact Monica Simpson at 620-421-3770 or 800-303-3770 for further information, or artwork may be dropped off at the main office of Labette Center for Mental Health Services, 1730 Belmont, Parsons KS.
