Labette Center Announces Care and Compassion Awards Recipients

Labette Center for Mental Health Services (LCMHS) is pleased to announce the recipients from the third annual Care and Compassion Awards, announced in a banquet held on Saturday March 9th, 2013, at the Parsons VFW, 105 Main Street, Parsons KS.

The Care and Compassion Awards Banquet was an evening centered on recognizing Labette County residents to show their appreciation for those who routinely reach out to individuals in need.  Six individuals who routinely go above and beyond to show care and compassion to others were recognized during the event.

LCMHS received numerous nominations for the Awards, which were independently reviewed and judged prior to the banquet. The recipients of this year’s Awards are:

Recipient Descriptions

“Each year that we are able to provide this event, we are reminded of all the wonderful individuals in our community that go above and beyond to show care and compassion to others around them.” LCMHS Executive Director Matthew Atteberry said. “It is an honor for us to be able to recognize them again this year.”

During the evening, Labette Center also recognized employees for years of service with the agency.  Those honored were:  

Susan (Shereen) Ellis, Director of Clinical and Emergency Services - 10 years
Nikkii Rosenstiel, Children's Psychosocial Coordinator(Navigator's) - 10 years 
Trinette Vance, Adult Case Management - 10 years
Virginia Standley, Parent Support - 15 years
Sandra Dickerson, Director of Business & Financial Services - 20 years
